The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Warriors Party
Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline featuring divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.
Note: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the premier party of heroes who will separate from the main group to embark on their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table includes Teor (played by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.
At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might seem out of place, but the developments of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his personal gain, invading the secret base, attacking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd close behind.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each character has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, seeks revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure knows the northern area and advises that it is a nasty location.
- The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- But, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could enable the party enter areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.
This results in them few options but to journey toward Timmony in search of the antagonist.
Future Episodes
Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Explorers and Strategists parties.
Fans can look forward to discovering which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
